A purple flower fluttering
In the warm bay breeze,
Shaded from the Sun.
An unexpectedly delicate
Merry-go-round wilting
Under the passage of time.
A red rose stained
With a surprising smile,
Buried beneath sorrow.
A fallen peace-lily pedal
Wandering about a forgotten wind,
Aged and bruised, never to return.
I saw you today:
I thought my memories would fade.
